Being primarily a landscape painter, he was always fascinated by the dramatic effects created by sunshine, clouds, water and fog. He use to observe their different moods that affect the subject matter. The lazy drift of broken clouds, a burst of sunshine or fog reveals totally a new dimension in tonal and chromatic values on the same spot. Falling rain, early morning mist, bright sunlight, sun rise or sun set - in short, the weather
and time that covers the subject - is an ever changing and integral part of it. He was always tempted to visit many spots again and again to observe and study the change season and weather have on it.
