Remarks
The center of my artwork shows a black and white ancient door designed with black, grey and white colours. The doors symbolizes the ancient world of stereotype thinking which shaped the minds of people earlier and the black and white colour show lack of modernity. The bottom of the painting shows the diverse grew up of people ranging from an old man to a traditional home makers women who are shown looking outside the ancient doors.
A girl with a school bag has been shown opening the doors of ancient and orthodox thinking into a new colorful world through the power of her education and knowledge.
The two doors are divided into four quadrants each showing difficulties faced by women. The top right shows unwanted marriage, below that is female foeticide. On the other door child labor and refusal to go to school for girls is shown. The people are shown in their backgrounds which shows society. The most attracted part is the world outside the doors which has been colorfully painted depicting that the world outside is so vast and power of education can change the mindset of stereotypes with the help of education a girl can explore the world and is set free of confined area and thinking of society.
The aim of my painting is to highlight how education can make a drastic change and our society from a black and white village into a colorful society full opportunities and hope for a new and better world!
