Remarks
This painting by child artist Ananya Aloke received a Gold Medal in Khula Aasmaan kids art competition for January to March 2019.
This painting depicts the famous snake-boat race of Kerala. I have avoided making the figures clearly to suggest speed. Other elements of the painting have also been made in large bold strokes, such as the sky and the clouds to prevent them from dominating the main theme and create a sense of restlessness and tremendous intensity.
