Remarks

This painting by child artist Aanya Chand, Class 5 was shortlisted in Khula Aasmaan kids art contest for April to June 2019.

I drew this painting as it reminded me of the peace & quiet of the outdoor. I love being with nature and animals, they give me so much happiness. This little girl depicts me, enjoying the lovely breeze while sitting on my favourite green spot of grass. I could be anywhere when. I look at this painting, in switzerland on the green meadows, on top of nainital mountains or in Africa, sitting amongst the wild animals. This painting is meditative for me as it takes me to my happy place. I used cotton to make the background by dabbing it with blue and white paint. I used watercolors as they help in blending the shades well. For painting the girl, I used various shades of brush pen colours as well as water colour for her face and hands. I painted the rest of the outside scenery with the tip of brush pen which now looks like specs of grass around the girl.
