Indian Woman with Madhubani Touch, painting by Pushpa Sharma, recently added to Indiaart.com

18 July 2017

Pushpa Sharma has had formal training in textile designing and subsequently worked with a home furnishings company as an artist. Pushpa loves to experiment in her subjects as well as the mediums she uses. While she did several watercolour paintings of flowers and landscapes, she then turned to explore the beauty of the forms of Om and Ganesha.

Currently, she has been painting Indian woman, which is a vast theme by itself in a country as diverse as India. While her earlier work was in pure watercolours, Pushpa is now freely using mixed media as her chosen medium to paint. Her choice includes watercolours, pen & ink, oil pastels and acrylic colours.
