Daughter of well known artist Shri. K. R. Ketkar, she was married to Shri. Sadashiv Sathe, a sculptor of national repute. Studied fine art from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. She was truly multifaceted. As an artist, she held more than 50 exhibitions in India as well as many other countries. She was a scriptwriter for theatre apart from being known as an actor. She developed her own unique style of painting - cold ceramics wherein she successfully experimented in using polyester resin as a medium of painting.
