After trying out watercolor, oil painting and acrylic, I finally gave a try to "modern painting". My first shot was Surrealistic painting, and then Cubism. Now, as for Jerry... Why Jerry? The incident was quite common...staring at the stickers of Jerry, wanting to draw, but yet, it seemed childish to me...So here came, Jerry in frames. Frames? The mischievous Jerry sticking out his tongue (to teachers probably), while getting numerous frames...because I don't want my mischievous childhood memories fade like unprotected paintings...I want to vanish them and keep them framed in my heart forever. Then, after falling in love with these paintings, I finally realized why Picasso was popular, and why his paintings were "different". They were unique and if one could understand them properly, they were spellbinding. This painting by child artist Soumil Mukherjee (15 years) received a Shortlist l in Khula Aasmaan children's art contest for January to March 2021. See the video about this artwork
