Indiaart announces third annual festival and exhibition - Artfest 09 - aimed at promoting emerging and amateur artists.

Artfest 09 will be inaugurated by eminent artist Shri. Prabhakar Kolte on Saturday 18th July 2009 at 6 p.m.

This will be followed by an address by Shri. Prabhakar Kolte to the gathering of emerging and amateur artists and photographers.

Highlights of Artfest 09 include :

A large exhibition of paintings and photographs by more than 60 participating artists. This exhibition will occupy both galleries of Indiaart. It opens on 18th July and will close on 26th July.

Daily program featuring talks, film shows, demonstrations, slide shows by well known artists. Detailed Program Agenda is enclosed.

Launch of an ongoing program for Mentoring and Promoting Emerging & Amateur artists and photographers. This will feature a series on ongoing activities, events and educational initiatives for the benefit of emerging and amateur artists and photographers.

The works are in Oil on Canvas, Acrylic on paper, Watercolour on paper, Papier Mache Objects, Warli paintings, Pencil on Paper as well as photographs.

Total 100 works will be on display. These works cover subjects such as Landscape, Still Life, Figurative, Warli, Wildlife, Portrait as well as Abstract.

Indiaart Gallery since its inception in 2002 has been consistently organizing Exhibitions, Events as well as Educational Initiatives. In the last eight years Indiaart has presented leading artists of India as well as several talented and emerging artists, sculptors as well as photographers. On the occasion of Artfest 09, Indiaart invites emerging and amateur artists, students, art connoisseurs and enthusiasts to participate in this grand event as well as on going activities which will continue through out the year.
