Remarks

This painting by child artist Arpit Katkhede received a Silver Medal in Khula Aasmaan kids art competition for January to March 2019.
I have painted its body with shade of yellow occur and medium yellow and then strip with black. Its brown fur has been done by rough brush and face whisks using “O” round brush. I felt like painting this because they are important to the health of ecosystem. They keep prey species under control. So this protect vegetation which maintain the river, forest and farmland. So when we protect Tigers, we protect our self. Tigers being connivers large mammals like Pig, Cow, Dear etc their black strips are unique. The tiger is a unique animal which plays major role in health and diversity of an ecosystem. It is the top predator which keeps the population of herbivores in check and thus balances the vegetation upon which they feed.
We need to protect tigers as there are as few as 3500 left in the wild.
