Remarks

I choose to draw Wancho man because I want to showcase the beauty of Wancho culture and tradition. The Wancho community is filled with talented individuals, but many don't pursue their artistic skills because they believe there are no career opportunities in this field. I aim to contradict this belief by highlighting the importance and significance of preserving and celebrating Wancho artistic traditions.

This painting by young artist Ajem Toham (18 years) received a Silver medal in Khula Aasmaan art contest for October to December 2023.
