The drawing portrays the image of an innocent child on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. In it's depth it conveys the message that the happiness. that means the positivity of the little, innocent child or of an individual which becomes gorgeous and is thus highlighted just by a small lighted candle, even in the presence of the surrounding darkness, that means negativity. This phenomenon of out-battling the negativity with inner positivity is thus also an depiction of the festival, Diwali as per the myth.

This painting by child artist Atrayee Ghosh(14 years) received a Silver medal in Khula Aasmaan online painting contest for children for October to December 2020.
