The new series "Ways of Spirit " by Prakash Bal Joshi is for the first time being exhibited by the Gallery Colorida in Lisbon. His sensitivity and thoughtfulness is the soul of this abstract series about his Mumbai city made up of seven Islands which were given in dowry by Portuguese to British in early 1700s. The city is undergoing a radical shift - a vertical growth changing its azure skyline. Ways of Spirit records his impressions of changing environment in Mumbai city most vibrant urban center in contemporary Indian subcontinent. The city is changing its sky line with vertical growth uprooting people from their cultural moorings and providing a different kind of experience. He expresses his anguish through use of colours and spontaneous strokes.
