I am a hobby artist. Loved to sketch and paint since school days. Though didn't take any formal training in art, passed the drawing grade examinations with good grades! Later didn't get enough time to explore other forms of art while pursuing engineering education, but still dabbled in Oil, Water colours and pencil sketching often. Had very little knowledge of the medium Acrylic until I joined the Acrylic painting workshop at Indiaart. The workshop proved to be very beneficial to further understand the Acrylic medium with the guidance of many noted eminent artists!

Dilip Vaman Phatak

Education: B.E. Civil Engineer

Currently working as a Chief Engineer. Although I have not received any formal art education or the diploma from any Art school, I have a nurtured affinity towards art and creation. I had been opportune to have guidance from eminent teachers like Prin. Tilwe and Shri. A. T. Patil who then were fortunately my drawing Teachers in my school. Both of them encouraged my childhood creative efforts, provided me the direction to express myself and to bring my ideas into reality. Tying new materials for the art works has always been my field of interest. I have done sculptures in wood/sand stone/siporex/paper pulp and Paper lamination/ metal foils.

My works primarily are in small sized works because I love working the intricate detailing.

Gitanjali Bhawalkar

Date of Birth : 21 Feb. 1985

Profession: Software Engineer.

Durga Tilak

A Corporate Communications professional and hobby artist.

I have done two watercolor workshops with Indiaart. The technique taught at the gallery has helped me immensely to improve my work. I like painting still life and landscapes in Water color. I also thoroughly enjoyed doing the paper mache workshop. It's a wonderful medium and after the workshop I made many small articles, which are appreciated by all who see them. My other interests include traveling and reading.

 

Gurudas Nulkar

After working for 18 years in the corporate world, Gurudas has recently joined academics. He is the Faculty In charge of Executive Education at Symbiosis Centre for Management Hinjewadi. Along with art, he is passionate about cycling and traveling.

About: I started painting in 2003, just as a hobby. Upon persuasion of my family and friends, to take up the painting hobby sincerely, I enrolled myself for basic painting training in India Art Gallery. The hobby of painting was there in me from childhood, I believe. However, I started taking keen interest in it, during my study of multimedia & graphic designing. My preference of colour medium goes to oil color & acrylic color Landscaping & modern art including issues relating global warming have always been my favorite subject.

Nishesh Gupta

Painting : Started painting in school with water colors. Did some large water colors, one such large water color made in 1988 is still present, it is framed and is hung in my parent's residence. Learnt Oil painting when in standard 8th. Did my first Oil on Canvas painting at the age of 15 (in 1990). This painting is still hung at the hall of my parent's residence. Made few other oil on canvas during that time. But stopped painting from 1992 only to pick up again in 2001. Did a Drawing class course and Beginner Oil Painting course in Fine Arts Department, University of Minnesota. Have been trying to paint regularly ever since. I am interested in Oil because of its rich color and texture and it ability to used in variety of styles. I am inspired by Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Degas and Klimt. I have seen many of their original work in Musee de Orsay, Paris , Museums in Chicago and Minneapolis. Recently, I have developed interest in Acrylics and guidance by Indiaart Gallery has been very helpful.

Consultant Engineer, specializing in Controlled Concrete Technology. Art, Literature, and Music are Hobbies.
Used to work with oils long back, but switched over to Watercolors,later on. Till date done more than 51 paintings.
